It has been about 10 days since Graham has gotten his cast off and we were a little surprised by the results. Ever since the cast was taken off he has had trouble walking without a limp and not bouncing back as quickly as we thought. Another trip back to the doctor and another x-ray showed that he is healed and should be walking a little better. Graham is currently in physical therapy almost every day with my Canadian friend who has her PHD in physical therapy (lucky us). He is showing improvement and it shouldn't be long until he is back in full force.

As a lot of you know we have been trying to decide Graham's school placement for the next year. He is set (age wise) to move on to Kindergarten Fall 2009, he will turn 5 in August. By moving him on he will be one of the youngest in the class.

We would love to have Graham repeat his pre-k class and allow him to mature a little more before starting kindergarten the following year, this would allow him to be the oldest in the class. But......... that all sounds great but not really a good option for Graham to be in the exact same class for two years in a row.

What Graham needs is a bigger day, which he will get by going on to Kindergarten. When we leave Honduras Graham will have finished 1st grade. At that point, we can decide if he can go on to 2nd grade or if we should have him repeat first grade at the new school, wherever that may be! This would allow us to watch him over the next two years and readjust as needed without any of his friends seeing him not moving along with them. This has been a very difficult decision, we hope as parents that we are making the right one for him.
