Monday afternoon Graham was jumping on the trampoline and somehow hurt his leg pretty bad. We brought him inside and let him rest, he didn't seem to be in too much pain. We thought that he would be better by the morning and if not we would take it from there. All day Tuesday he wasn't in pain, but would not put any weight on his left leg. I had a feeling something wasn't right when Graham refused to walk. As you know, Graham doesn't like to be still and for him to lay around all day I knew something was up.
So, here we are now on Wednesday morning and Graham is wearing a pretty big cast for a little four year old. He has a fractured tibia and will be in a cast for 4 weeks! Poor guy, it is going to be tough on him (and me) because we were instructed to put NO WEIGHT on his leg during this time. This means no walking at all (no crutches)! Yikes! We have permission to send him back to school, but our nanny will be going with him for the next month!
(Don't worry, I had a second opinion done by a Canadian Physical Therapist who has her doctorate degree and she agreed with everything the doctor did).
