Copan, Honduras

During the Christmas break we traveled to Copan to see the Mayan Ruins. It was a long trip, but well worth it when we got there. We stayed a very relaxing Bed and Breakfast with an amazing view of the mountains. The kids loved running free and didn't even miss not having a t.v. in the room.

Honduras was home to the Mayan People, who are thought to have arrived in Honduras as early as 1000 BC. They settled in North Western Honduras on the plains of the Copan River, and built the city of Copan.

While we were there we also visit Macaw Mountain, a beautiful bird park and nature reserve that cares for endangered and rescued birds.

Yes, we have one more son. Cole didn't go on this trip!
