An Oasis

Today we were able to go to the American School and spend some time at the playground, something we have not done yet. I felt a strong sense of relief when we piled out of the car (it took longer for us to load our car with the kids than to actually get there) and found more than we had hoped for. First of all, there were two other families there with their boys, both of which just arrived as well. There was a huge field for playing soccer, a covered patio for riding scooters and bikes, a really nice playset for the kids to play, and a small basketball court with goals perfect for my boys, not that we had a basketball to play with! But, what a relief to know that we have a place that we can anytime we want to run free, get exercise, kick the soccer ball around, and be safe without any worries. It's amazing what a little fresh air will do for the spirit!

I think the key here is to keep the expectations low and you will be pleasantly surprised!
